Hilton Head Island, SC

We took a quick family vacation to the beach before baby #2 comes. Miles was in heaven; all that sand... He would wake up in the middle of the night and call out 'ocean'. He got to see sand dollars and a starfish, even some dolphins one morning. Even though we have been home for a couple of weeks now, Miles will still sometimes say ' go ocean tomorrow'.

Miles turns 2!

Underwear on, underwear on.

This is the first thing Miles says when he wakes up in the morning now. "Underwear on, underwear on." We are by no means trying to potty train our 2 year old, but he has been trying to potty train us. He loves to wear underwear, and he is pretty good about peeing in his potty if we take him frequently enough. But there are plenty of accidents... And tantrums if we try to put him in a diaper. And the other situation is, when he has his underwear on, he wants his "shirt off, shirt off" and "pants off, pants off" which makes it difficult to leave the house. Oh well...

And this a picture of the awesome motorcycle that Grandpa Dave made Miles. Miles absolutely loves it and when you ask him where he's going to ride that motorcyle, he says "all the way to California" ( I may have taught him to say that, but it is still really cute)

Another trip to the zoo

So, we bought an annual membership to the zoo in Columbia, SC which gets us into the zoo for free, unlimited amounts of times. And needless to say, we have made many trips. This time, we went with two of my friends from work who both have little boys around Miles' age. They had a blast. The first pic is Miles in a cave by the penguin exhibit. And the second picture is Miles and Byron feeding the larakeets (however you spell it). You can buy a small little cup of nectar and go into this enclosed outdoor bird sanctuary and feed the little birds. This was the first time Miles has done that; he was a little apprehensive.
